Lochsa River at Powell Ranger Station  -  ID.  The party made camp on September 14, 1805 near today's Powell Ranger Station.  For safety, they put their horses on a small island in the middle of the Lochsa River.  They had very little food, and because game was scarce, they had to kill a small colt.  As a result, a nearby stream was named "Colt Killed Creek."
